Everything reaches us at [email protected]. There is no contact form on this site and no phone line — email is the only channel, and it is read by a person.

What we want to hear about

• A temperature figure that does not match what you measured. Send the spot, the date and the reading, and we will correct the monthly mean.
• A safety note that is out of date — a changed car park, a closed entry point, a new by-law or a prohibition sign that was not there last season.
• A water-quality notice from a local authority that contradicts the rating on the page.
• A spot that is missing from the library entirely. Include the water type, the nearest town and roughly how cold it gets in August.

What we cannot do

We cannot tell you whether it is safe to swim somewhere today. Nobody can do that from a desk. If you are asking that question, the answer is on the sign at the water, with the lifeguard, or in your own judgement about your ability in cold water.

We also cannot accept advertising enquiries, sponsored placements or paid listings through this address once the site carries advertising — those go through the standard channels. Editorial correspondence only, please.

Response time

Usually within a week. Corrections that affect a safety note are handled first, and the page’s last-updated date changes when we act on them.
