All content on this site is general information about open-water swimming locations. It is not safety advice, not instruction, not a medical opinion, and not a substitute for a qualified instructor, a lifeguard or your own judgement.

Swimming outdoors carries a risk of injury, illness and death. Water temperature, depth, current, water quality and access conditions change constantly and without notice. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to enter any water, for assessing your own ability, and for complying with local laws, by-laws and signage at every location described here.

Accuracy

Monthly temperature figures are means, not readings for a particular day. Depth profiles describe typical conditions rather than surveyed bathymetry. Access notes, facilities and safety information reflect what was observed at the time of writing and may be out of date.

We correct errors when they are reported to us, but we make no warranty that any page is accurate, complete or current, and we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on it.

Prohibited use

• Do not present this content as your own, resell it, or republish substantial parts of it without written permission.
